On October 1, Ningbo got the first wave of tourists in the National Day holiday week, the number of tourists it received totaled 536,300. Unlike the past years, in this year, all the places of interest advocate "low-carbon travel".
In the morning of October, Tengtou Village, one of the top 500 ecological-friendly places of the world, launched the program, advocating the low-carbon tourism. The 30 "image ambassadors" of the contestants of the final contest in Zhejiang of the 2010 international city tourist misses made various shows like poem recitations, cycling and song and dance shows, to advocate the low carbon travel to the public.
In the mountain walking paths in Ninghai and in Siming Mountain in Yuyao, appeared the backpackers and the mountain bikers. A Mr. Xu, a lover of mountain biking, said, the biking can make one relaxed, by the beautiful scenery, and so it is very environment friendly.
According to the statistics by the Ningbo municipal office holiday affairs, all the scenic spots of the city have considerable amount of tourists on October. Xikou received 60,700 tourists; Dongqian Lake Holiday Resort received 59,900; Dapengshan Tourist Resort 53,000; Xiangshan Movie Studio 13,400; and Songlanshan, 8,700. On the same day, the star-rated hotels' lease rated reached 63.38%.
