With the completion of project of helping reconstruct Qingchuan in Sichuan Province, cadres from Ningbo who once worked in Qingchuan returned to Ningbo yesterday. A grand ceremony was held to welcome these cadres. Mayor Mao Guanglie gave them his best regards and wished that they could continue their efforts in contributing to the modernization of Ningbo.
Government leaders met all these cadres in Xinzhou Hotel and sent them their best regards. In the briefing followed, the director of headquarters in Qingchuan talked about their work. On behalf of Ningbo Government and Municipal Party Committee, Mao expressed his warm welcome and thanked all those who had once helped Qingchuan in their reconstruction. He said that, two years ago, these cadres had accepted the task of helping reconstruct Qingchuan and today they were back with their satisfying job. They had helped to popularize the image of Ningbo and at the same time they had demonstrated their excellence.
Mao said that, for the past two years, with the right decision of Party Central Committee, State Council, provincial government and provincial party committee, all departments had made helping Qingchuan as an important task. They had implemented the spirit of hard work, unity and dedication and had achieved the success of in helping reconstruct Qingchuan.
Mao emphasized that Ningbo was now in the critical moment of building a well-off society. At the same time, it was in the critical moment of reform and opening up and transition of construction mode. We should enhance the spirit of hard work and dedication so as to push forward modernization of Ningbo. Vice chairman of Ningbo CPPC and vice government secretary Wang Renzhou attended the ceremony.
