A high-tech exhibition center of Shanghai World Expo will be moved to Zhenhai. The center is the only exhibition program of DENVET, an executive institution of United Nations Development Porgram. The center will become a platform on which international high-tech cooperates with Chinese enterprises. with headquarters in Rome, DENVET is non-profit and non-governmental organization, which is in support of exchange in terms of technological business and information so as to encourage developing countries to take part in regional and international economic activities. DENVET Pavlion in Garden B of Shanghai World Expo mainly shows the technology in environmental protection, energy saving and high technology.
After many contacts, DENVET decides that the high-tech center of the pavilion will be moved to Zhenhai, which will cost two years to complete. The total investment will reach 300 million Yuan. According to the plan, the exhibition area willl be 24,000 square meters and office area will be 34,000 square meters. It is estimated that there will be 500 enterprises showing their technology in the center, which is expected improve not only the exchange and cooperation between DENVET and enterprises, but also the development of local economy and popularity of Zhenhai.
