The soaring prices of coals give impetus to the import of coals. According to the Ningbo Customs, during the first 10 month, the port of Ningbo has imported a total of 1.08 million tons of coals, worth 330 million USD, up 6.6% and 28.7% respectively over the same period last year.

Since the beginning of the second half year, the prices of coals have been rising drastically. According to the Ningbo Customs, the port imports 1.86 million tons from ASEAN, 1.3 times more than last year. The import price is averaged 102.6 USD per ton, up 20.8%.

Sources say that there are 200 million tons of coals in stock in China. Therefore, to import blindly is risky.
